beauty. lots of different people who have differentopinions. who think differently than you. different races. different sexual orientation. to not be judged.

different religions. ...and not to be, ah, treated differently. different ages.people of, of even different sizes. some that are beautiful, some that are stylish. it means everybody. it means so many different things, not just one thing at all. i've noticed that, all of us together, when we're working together, we have different, umlearning styles and different ways wethink about things.

different...world viewsor past experiences, life experiences providea richness and depth and complexity to,to our learning. in a diverse environment you'realways exposed to different things. you learn new things andit builds up your creativity. to get something newit is important to meet new people. and this whole campusis like my family only. it's a second homefor me because all international studentsare highly welcome over here.

really i grew a lot. i'm goinggeorge brown only for 2 months and my perception, totally change. different way of thinking.different way of handling things. it helps peopleget along with each other. it teaches them, likewhat's going on with other people. how you couldcommunicate with them. there are people who can’t seeand we call them blind. there are people who can’t hearand we call them deaf. and they are different thaneveryone else and because of that

people have preconceived notionsabout what they are capable of doing and they identify them as being disabled.but that’s just not the case. you have to getto know the person. you have to meet them, have a conversation with them. don’t be afraid. show them some respect andyou will start to understand them, start to see whothey are as a person. and then looking throughthe school and checking out he different programsand groups that were available,

i just felt so welcomed. so you cannot haveonly one way of thinking. where you may think one wayand you think that's normal way and you realize thatanother culture come in or another personfrom another culture will automatically say,"well that's not how we have done it" so you're learning to just becomemore aware of how each one is. what people don't know, they fear. so, and fear becomes hatred becausethey don't want to deal with it.

so i think, the george browndoes a wonderful job of, uh, incorporating, any kind of diversityso that we don't have to fear it. when you are going out to that workplace, you are going to experience a multitude of different ideas, different backgrounds and depending on which program you're in to,what types of environments you'll be working in, you have tobe able to understand and be able to co-existand work with people. there are lots of chancethat there is going to be

people with different backgrounds therethat are going to work with you. for me, as a nurse,in a college which has got people from different parts of the world, prepares me well to go and work, not only in canada butin other parts of the world. i have to travelin the different countries. so if i know somethingabout the other country, about their culture, how they represent themselves in front of the client,or maybe others. george brown is part ofour experiences and

because of that, it helps us to relateto where we're going to be in the future out in the workforce.that's what, that's what is out there in the world.people of different backgrounds. and i've noticed that everyonehas a different way or approach of doing certain things and that knowledgei've gained in study groups, i believe that it will work really wellbecause in working like field, i'll be able to bring that to the tableand be able to communicate with everyone really well becausei've been around different cultures and different ethnicities.so i'll show more respect

and know-how inhow to approach people. socializing has helped me to figure outwhat it is that i want to be, you know? if i hadn't socialized with differentindividuals, i might not have determined and had an opportunityto take a look at myself and to discover what it isi want to do, whether it is electrician or artistor in the construction industry or anything like that.but having met different people has helped me to decidewhat it is that i want to do with my future. captioning byhandsignow

badminton racquets

hi, my name is john webb. i have been coachingfor badminton for over 15 years. i am going to share some tips on how to play badminton. on walking through the basic selection ofbuying a badminton racquet, what we look for, watch out for. we start playing badmintonafter we learnt up holding a racquet from the sports centre which will be very clunkybig chunk metal and probably very weighed down. so, let me walk through what is theimportant thing before buying a badminton racquet. most racquets now weigh between 75 and 95grams. germany made over carbonyl graphite for good torque in the racquet. some racquetsalso are wide bodied which acquisitions the air resistance which makes your shots a lotquicker. you also importantly want to be looking fortwo-piece or one piece racquet which means narrow big clunky metal join there, but thewhole flows through, one piece metal looks lighter. it has got a good strength and actuallyit has good connecting energies when you're hitting a shot quicke...
